This year again we were at Black Hat Abu Dhabi 2011 and had an amazing time. We met old friends and made great new ones. There were some very interesting briefings. My favourite presentation was by Barnaby Jack of McAfee. He gave a very interesting talk on hacking insulin pumps. He explained the steps required to gain access to the hardware and assembly code through RF. Barnaby created an exploit which can reveal the unique serial number of insulin pump and then allow him to either dispense insulin or suspend the device. Dispensing too much insulin in a person through this exploit is a real threat resulting in death.

After the conference we went on a desert safari. Evening with friends doing dune bashing, sand-boarding with arabic buffet and entertainment was perfect.
